Social Media Intern

Summary

Join Low Battery as a Social Media Intern and support the @Drip accounts. This internship offers hands-on experience in social content creation, from ideation to execution. You will assist in sourcing trends, conducting content research, contributing to visual storytelling, and organizing assets. The role involves participating in brainstorms, pitching creative ideas, and observing team operations. This internship provides educational value through mentorship and access to resources on digital content strategy and brand voice development. The internship runs from June to August 2025 and is based in NYC, primarily remote with occasional in-person sessions.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and interest in fashion and fashion culture
• Deeply plugged into social media, trends, and internet culture
• Familiarity with social platforms (especially TikTok + Instagram) and an understanding of what content works best on each platform
• Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Ability to spot viral content, trends and potential content
• Familiar with basic design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Canva)
• Excited to learn, collaborate, and grow in a fast-paced creative environment

Responsibilities

• Track and surface trending news, memes, and cultural moments
• Assist in sourcing and curating content, including UGC and brand-aligned visuals
• Conduct UGC outreach and secure usage rights
• Contribute to basic design work (Photoshop or similar tools)
• Help organize content assets and support content calendar planning
• Participate in brainstorms and pitch social-first creative ideas
• Observe and learn from strategic planning, editorial decision-making, and daily team operations

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Asana is a plus

• Program Duration: June – August 2025
• Hours : Must be able to commit to a 32-40 hour work week
• Location: Based in NYC; primarily remote but includes occasional in-person co-working or team sessions
• $16.50 - $16.50 an hour
