Summary

Join Tubi, Fox Corporation's premium ad-supported video-on-demand streaming service, as a Software Developer (Senior Software Engineer, Growth Engineering) to build back end services in the ad-tech space and help acquire users and fuel Tubi’s growth.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
• Plus three (3) years of software development or related software engineering experience including building reliable production backend applications across the full software development life cycle
• Writing high quality code; distributed systems and functional programming; and working with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and Scala
• Knowledge of web-based applications using HTTP or gRPC
• Knowledge of Concurrency
• Knowledge of SQL and noSQL
• Experience in Ad tech, mar-tech or growth tech domain
• Experience using Akka
• Experience with Kubernetes, Linux and Spark

Responsibilities

• Write performant Scala code to assist the team in building up Tubi’s proprietary solution for automating user acquisition efforts at scale
• Write Scala code to surface data and metrics from Tubi’s proprietary solution
• Write SQL code as needed to transform this data into useful insights which can be used to optimize Tubi’s user acquisition campaigns
• Deploy software components inside Tubi’s Kubernetes-based engineering ecosystem
• Participate in the team’s on-call rotation and handle outages to ensure a high up time of the overall platform
• Initiate and participate in efforts to adjust and evolve the software architecture of Tubi’s proprietary solution for automating user acquisition efforts at scale
• Evaluate tools and frameworks in the Scala ecosystem which can benefit Tubi’s software architecture
• Participate in code and architecture reviews with the team
