Software Developer in Test

Summary

Join Orium, a leading composable commerce consultancy and systems integrator, as a Software Developer in Test. You will be responsible for developing a culture of quality, creating test plans and strategies, automating critical tests, and ensuring bug resolution. You will also lead the development of the Quality Assurance practice area, stay up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies, and explore non-functional testing areas. This role requires 5+ years of experience in automation and manual testing, expertise in various testing methodologies, and proficiency in tools like Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and testing frameworks.

Requirements

• You communicate effectively and can prepare and present information in a clear and concise manner
• Understand Computer Science fundamentals and Software Engineering principles
• 5+ years industry experience in automation and manual testing
• Expertise in functional, regression, cross-browser/device, exploratory, and REST/SOAP API testing
• Expertise in working with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress or other test runners

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and estimate work to be done alongside designers and Product Owner, to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. Be transparent about progress
• Identify test scenarios that are critical and repetitive and automate them, overseeing their execution and maintenance
• Work with the team to ensure bugs are triaged and resolved in time, creating a culture of quality in the production teams you are part of
• Provide test plans that allow clients to conduct UAT
• Lead the development of the Quality Assurance practice area at Orium through process improvements and knowledge sharing
• Stay up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies and explore non-functional areas such as Performance, Security, and Accessibility testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, SQL, testing frameworks such as TestNG, Mocha, Chai, or Cucumber, and experience with TestRail, QAComplete or similar test management tools is highly desired
• Experience with modern digital tools and an openness to integrating AI-powered solutions to enhance development efficiency, automation, and problem-solving
• Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to critically evaluate AI-assisted decision-making, workflow automation, and its impact on software development processes
• A mindset of continuous learning, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and trends
