Software Development Intern

Summary

Join Axur's Engineering team as a Software Development Intern and contribute to making the internet safer. This internship offers hands-on experience in building cybersecurity solutions, focusing on backend development. You will collaborate with a global team, developing skills in continuous delivery, autonomous microservices, and infrastructure as code. The role involves bug fixing, feature enhancements, and working with databases and cloud infrastructure. Axur offers a flexible, remote-work environment with competitive compensation and benefits. The internship is open to students enrolled in a Brazilian Ministry of Education-certified program.

Requirements

• Undergo a Brazilian bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
• Have experience or knowledge with Java or JavaScript programming languages
• Be familiar with object-oriented programming
• Be available for work during office hours: Interns must be available for at least half of their daily working hours during business hours and specify their expected schedule during the application
• Be fluent in Portuguese
• Have advanced English skills

Responsibilities

• Engage in software development activities including bug investigation and resolution, requirement analysis, feature enhancement, new feature and component development, and automated/manual testing
• Collaborate with team members to ensure code quality through code reviews and adherence to standards
• Implement changes in databases and cloud infrastructure as needed to support software development initiatives
• Embrace learning opportunities to enhance skills and adapt to new technologies and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience or knowledge with microservices, continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, test-driven development and domain-driven design
• Have experience or knowledge of relational databases
• Have Spanish proficiency
• Have an expected graduation completion in 2026 or 2027
