Software Development Intern

Summary

Noetic is seeking a creative and team-oriented software development intern to join an Agile Scrum team in Huntsville, AL. The intern will write code, participate in Scrum meetings, exercise secure coding practices, and work collaboratively with other developers. This position requires familiarity with multiple architectures, experience using git, strong problem-solving skills, ability to communicate clearly, understanding of Agile principles and Scrum framework, and experience with relational database design and SQL databases. The intern must be enrolled in a technical degree program at an accredited university and have no prior work experience. Requirements

• Familiarity with multiple architectures (scripting, Object-Oriented, microservices, Model-View-Controller)
• Ability to learn new libraries and frameworks as necessary
• Experience using git and a git repository such as Bitbucket
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Familiarity with Agile principles and Scrum framework
• Ability to work in a team-oriented Agile Scrum environment
• Experience understanding relational database design and working with SQL databases

Responsibilities

• Write code that is well-designed and testable against user stories
• Participate in Scrum meetings (sprint planning, standups, voting sessions, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives)
• Exercise secure coding practices
• Work collaboratively with other developers on the team
