Requirements

• Proven experience leading a team of developers through successful software projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to convey technical information to a wide variety of audiences
• Solid understanding of development processes, testing, and CI/CD best practices
• Experience delivering horizontally scalable applications and microservices
• Passion for learning new things and desire to improve continuously
• Solution-oriented and constructive mindset and ability to manage ambiguity
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Be the trusted lead and partner of a development team of 5-6 members, guiding, motivating, and developing your team to solve complex business problems
• Enhance team growth through effective mentoring, coaching, and constructive feedback, while fostering a mutually supportive, inclusive, and collaborative environment
• Model lead-by-example excellence, provide high-quality code reviews and design feedback, and work to drive technical alignment in challenging areas
• Lead the way to develop performant, scalable, and maintainable applications and microservices, ensuring high technical quality and operational excellence in your area
• Collaborate closely with other teams, architects, product managers, and engineering leaders to align approaches and priorities
• Continuously improve our software delivery processes and practices, staying updated with industry trends to influence our strategic direction and foster innovation
• Provide technical and process guidance to your team, and participate in recruiting top talent for the organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced skills in Typescript, React
• Full-stack web development familiarity
• Interest in or experience with POS or eCommerce systems
• Experience building scalable SaaS solutions
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
