Requirements
- Proven experience leading a team of developers through successful software projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to convey technical information to a wide variety of audiences
- Solid understanding of development processes, testing, and CI/CD best practices
- Experience delivering horizontally scalable applications and microservices
- Passion for learning new things and desire to improve continuously
- Solution-oriented and constructive mindset and ability to manage ambiguity
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Be the trusted lead and partner of a development team of 5-6 members, guiding, motivating, and developing your team to solve complex business problems
- Enhance team growth through effective mentoring, coaching, and constructive feedback, while fostering a mutually supportive, inclusive, and collaborative environment
- Model lead-by-example excellence, provide high-quality code reviews and design feedback, and work to drive technical alignment in challenging areas
- Lead the way to develop performant, scalable, and maintainable applications and microservices, ensuring high technical quality and operational excellence in your area
- Collaborate closely with other teams, architects, product managers, and engineering leaders to align approaches and priorities
- Continuously improve our software delivery processes and practices, staying updated with industry trends to influence our strategic direction and foster innovation
- Provide technical and process guidance to your team, and participate in recruiting top talent for the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced skills in Typescript, React
- Full-stack web development familiarity
- Interest in or experience with POS or eCommerce systems
- Experience building scalable SaaS solutions
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
