Summary
Join Aiven, a global team dedicated to open-source technology and multi-cloud solutions, as a Software Engineer. You'll contribute to developing and improving the scalability and reliability of relational database services for customers and OEM partners. This role involves writing high-quality code, participating in technical discussions, contributing to planning and backlog management, and resolving customer issues. Requirements
- Excellent development skills
- Experience working with one of these databases - PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, OracleDB
- Experience with automated testing
- Distributed systems knowledge
- Fluency in English, verbal and written
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality, maintainable code and release quality features
- Participate in technical discussions and perform PR reviews
- Contribute to technical planning and backlog management
- Help investigate and resolve customer issues
- Develop and improve the scalability and reliability of theΒ data services powered by Aiven
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python in production environments
- Hands-on experience with some of the following systems: Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse, OpenSearch, Redis/Valkey
- Good understanding of security (software, networking)
- Experience and/or interest in infrastructure as code
- Experience in production software environments
