Summary
Join Altium's Enterprise Solutions team as a Software Engineer and work fully remote from the UK! You will solve complex technical problems for global enterprise clients, design and deliver systems using C# and .NET Core, collaborate with engineering teams, and consult with customers to build solutions using the Altium platform. This role requires at least three years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on C# and .NET, proven success in developing large software platforms, and excellent communication skills. Requirements
- A minimum of three years of professional experience as a software engineer, with a strong focus on C# and .NET
- Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining large software platforms, particularly within enterprise-grade environments
- Strong analytical abilities with a proven aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving complex issues
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in both team-based and independent settings. You should be confident in explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with multiple programming languages, methodologies and approaches, with a preference for those familiar with Agile practices
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve complex technical problems for enterprise customers using troubleshooting skills to propose and implement effective solutions
- Design and deliver systems using C# and .NET Core with a focus on creating robust and scalable enterprise-grade solutions
- Work closely with other engineering teams across Altium on new features, integrations, tools and scripts
- Engage with customers to understand their workflows and requirements to enable you to build solutions to address their business problems using the Altium platform
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in C# and .NET
- Python
- Hands-on experience of AWS: EC2, ECS, RDS etc
- Designing and consuming APIs - GraphQL, MVC, REST
- Containerization using Docker, ECS or Kubernetes
- Database systems - MySQL and ideally Firebird
- Version control using Git and/or SVN
- DevOps practices, including CI/CD using GitHub Actions or Jenkins
