Software Engineer

Summary

Join our team as an ML-focused Software Engineer to design and build Astro Observe, our observability platform, and contribute to delivering exceptional value to our customers.

Requirements

• A strong focus on helping customers gain more visibility and actionable insights through our observability offerings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to find middle ground
• 3+ years of engineering experience in production settings
• Experience with Machine Learning or Statistics in operational settings
• Experience with SQL and OLAP databases
• Experience with software development best practices, such as code reviews, testing, CI/CD, version control, automation and debugging

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development and vision of Astro Observe
• Lead the effort in Machine Learning powered features that provide actionable insights to our customers about their data pipelines and data products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements, implement and iterate on the observability and governance features
• Continuously evaluate and improve the architecture and implementation of our observability platform
• Contribute to the overall platform usability, reliability, and scalability

• Estimated salary range: CA$185,000 - CA$215,000
