Summary

Join Bitstamp's Crypto Division as a Software Engineer and contribute to building the next generation of crypto-services. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python or Go, staying current with cryptocurrency and blockchain advancements. The role requires proven backend development experience, a solid understanding of blockchain and DeFi, SQL expertise, and AWS infrastructure skills. You'll apply software development best practices, work independently and collaboratively, and possess strong communication skills. Requirements

  • Possess professional knowledge and experience of backend development (Python, optionally GO)
  • Have a solid understanding of blockchain, smart contracts and DeFi ecosystem
  • Possess solid knowledge and experience with SQL and relational database (MySQL)
  • Have the ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure AWS infrastructure solutions
  • Have a successful track record of developing quality software products and shipping production ready software
  • Have experience with development best-practices (test driven development, code reviews, tech specs)
  • Have the ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Have the ability to take a pragmatic approach in solving complex programming problems
  • Have active knowledge of the English language and good communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend systems using languages such as Python or Go
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in the cryptocurrency space, blockchain technology, and trading strategies to incorporate new features and improvements into the platform
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code that follows software engineering best practices
  • Apply software development best practices such as unit testing, code review, test automation and continuous delivery to produce high quality software
  • Prepare detailed design documents and testing strategies according to requirements
