Summary

Join Bitstamp's Crypto Division as a Software Engineer and contribute to building the next generation of crypto-services. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python or Go, staying current with cryptocurrency and blockchain advancements. Responsibilities include writing clean, well-documented code, applying software development best practices, and preparing design documents and testing strategies. The ideal candidate possesses professional backend development experience (Python preferred), a solid understanding of blockchain and DeFi, SQL and database knowledge, and AWS infrastructure experience. Requirements

  • Professional knowledge and experience of backend development (Python, optionally GO)
  • Solid understanding of blockchain, smart contracts and DeFi ecosystem
  • Solid knowledge and experience with SQL and relational database (MySQL)
  • Ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure AWS infrastructure solutions
  • Successful track record of developing quality software products and shipping production ready software
  • Experience with development best-practices (test driven development, code reviews, tech specs)
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Ability to take a pragmatic approach in solving complex programming problems
  • Active knowledge of the English language and good communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining of scalable and high-performance backend systems using languages such as Python or Go
  • Staying up to date with the latest developments in the cryptocurrency space, blockchain technology, and trading strategies to incorporate new features and improvements into the platform
  • Writing clean, well-documented, and maintainable code that follows software engineering best practices
  • Apply software development best practices such as unit testing, code review, test automation and continuous delivery to produce high quality software
  • Preparation of detailed design documents and testing strategies according to requirements
