Software Engineer

Summary

Join Discord's Growth team as a Software Engineer and help build features and systems that enhance user value and expand our community. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Data Science, and Design, to create exceptional user experiences. Work on our product surfaces across Web, Android, iOS, and beyond. Own problems end-to-end, from defining technical specifications to implementation and launch. Develop a deep understanding of our users and build experiences that acquire, activate, and retain them. Contribute to a fast-paced team by rapidly prototyping new features and developing principled learnings through experimentation. This US-based role reports to the Senior Engineering Manager of Discovery.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Work with other full-stack engineers on your team to build new features and expand existing capabilities. You will work on our product surfaces across Web, Android, iOS, and beyond
• Own problems end to end — through defining technical specifications, implementing changes, and launch
• Develop a deep understanding of our users, and work with cross-functional partners to build experience that acquire, activate, and retain users
• Work closely with design to deliver visually refined and exceptional user experiences across all of our client platforms
• Contribute to a fast-paced product engineering team by rapidly prototyping new features and developing principled learnings through experimentation

Benefits

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 - $180,000 + equity + benefits
