Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a C++ software engineer, with strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• In-depth experience working with the Skia Graphics Engine and Chromium Views
• Proven ability to write high-performance, clean, and maintainable C++ code
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Git for version control and team collaboration
• Familiarity with cross-functional development
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize the product's user interface using the Skia Graphics Engine and Chromium Views
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable C++ code with a focus on performance
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a multi-platform environment
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
• Ensure the scalability, stability, and performance of the user interface across different platforms
• Contribute to the overall codebase for our browser product and related services
• Collaborate with product and design teams to implement features that improve the user experience
• Participate in code reviews and share best practices to improve code quality
• Contribute to the long-term evolution and innovation of Spigot’s ecosystem of services

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HTML, CSS, Java, Rust, or Perl
• Familiarity with tools like GN, Ninja Build System, and Gclient
• Knowledge of browser architecture and the Chromium project
• Experience with cloud-based or distributed systems development is advantageous
