Software Engineer

Summary

Join Liftoff's View Master (SDK) team as a software engineer to develop mobile software development kits (SDKs), collaborate with product and creative teams, and improve automation quality. The ideal candidate has experience with Javascript, CSS preprocessors, and HTML5, and is proficient in developing mobile-first user interfaces.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields and 6 years of relevant experience
• At least 4 years of experience with Javascript (ES6+), CSS preprocessors, and HTML5
• Experience working in an Agile development team
• Proficiency in developing mobile-first user interfaces
• Familiarity with TypeScript, ParcelJS, Preact, Finite State Machine (XState), TDD with Jest, Webkit, Playwright for integration test
• Automated testing strategies using AWS Device Farm, iOS and Android simulators, and Lighthouse for web application validation
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
• Previous AdTech experience is highly valued

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new ad formats and templates through the web-based rendering engine
• Collaborate with product and creative teams to design and build new ad units and features that can be quickly activated for various placement types
• Continuously improve automation quality and interoperability between creative and SDK, ensuring reliable and efficient rendering
• Maintain and enhance automated testing strategies, ensuring engineers can validate changes locally and efficiently, ensuring reliability for both publishers and advertisers
• Utilize experimentation and canary release strategies to measure and compare performance, continuously enhancing existing ad units
• Enhance existing ad units and ensure compatibility across SDK platforms
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development
• Participate in discussions with end users and product teams to align technical solutions with business needs
• Engage in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to maintain high code quality and performance
