Software Engineer

Summary

Join Liftoff, a leading growth acceleration platform for the mobile industry, as a Supply Exchange Core Engineer. This role is crucial for the success of Liftoff's Publisher side business, involving the design and development of platform infrastructure that processes over a billion events daily. You will be part of a team of innovative engineers building and scaling low-latency, high-throughput systems. This position offers full-time remote work in the Pacific Time Zone with opportunities for in-person team gatherings. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science or a related field
• Internship experience in a relevant field (preferred), up to 2 years of professional experience in a similar role
• Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Golang (preferable), C/C++, Java, Python
• Experience building low-latency, high-throughput, distributed backend services
• Understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms
• Knowledge of profiling and debugging distributed microservices
• Experience building data-intensive applications
• Experience with distributed system observability metrics, using it for data driven design decisions
• Good team communication and collaboration skills
• Passionate about helping others and invested in the team’s success
• Good at English (oral, writing, reading)

Responsibilities

• Take ownership and work with various product management, development and quality assurance groups in a dynamic environment
• Design, engineer & implement highly-available, fault-tolerant, distributed systems enhancing our real-time bidding system
• Make sure the code is readable, performs proficiently, has complete tests, is properly documented, and is regularly updated
• Become informed with core development, product release and its business
• Implementing new features and streamlining existing services
• Minimizing complexity and increasing shared knowledge
• Share knowledge and best practices with team members
• PagerDuty on-call rotation
