Summary

Join Rackspace Technology as a Software Engineer and contribute to the development of serverless production applications and tools for their customers. You will be responsible for migrating .NET applications to newer versions, addressing compatibility issues, following best practices, collaborating on testing, and working as part of a strategic team developing cloud-native applications for major companies.

Requirements

  • Full stack engineer with 3+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in C# & .NET framework
  • Experience in migrating .NET applications to .NET standard 2.0, .NET 8 and .NET 9
  • Strong Knowledge of Relational and NoSql databases
  • Knowledge of working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Bamboo/Github Actions) and Git
  • Knowledge of AWS or Azure services
  • Excellent problem solving skills & ability to work independently and as a team
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Migrate .NET applications, job engine plugins and supporting libraries to .NET standard 2.0, .NET 8 and .NET 9
  • Address compatibility issues with third-party NuGet packages by upgrading versions or identifying functionally equivalent alternatives
  • Follow documented best practices for security, coding style guides, pull requests, documentation, etc
  • Collaborate in engineering teams to perform unit and integration testing for applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with windows communication Foundation (WCF) & gRPC is preferred
  • Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes in preferred
  • Familiarity with plugin based architectures & device polling protocols such as SNMP or WMI is preferred
