Remote Software Engineer

Summary

Join our Data Science team at Roadie as a Software Engineer to help develop, productionalize, and maintain systems for automated decision-making across the organization. This is a high-impact opportunity to implement new features and work on near-greenfield projects that deliver direct impact for drivers, senders, and Roadie.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent
• Experience working with machine learning algorithms and/or machine learning teams, preferred
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Experience writing clean, stable and maintainable code in high-scale production environments

Responsibilities

• Work closely with machine-learning engineers, operations researchers, and QA engineers to build, test, and scale systems performing automated decision making across the organization
• Collaborate with the broader Technology team to improve reliability of existing systems
• Write and deliver reliable code through integration, test automation, and code reviews
• Apply experience and knowledge of industry best practices to support and continuously improve the performance, efficiency, and maintainability of existing applications
