Requirements

  • Roughly 3-5 years as a professional software engineer
  • Direct experience of building and delivering software using a high-level programming language
  • Feel very comfortable working at the level of technical complexity involved in adding features to a small command-line app (as assessed through a Byteboard exercise)

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with colleagues to build the right solutions to the problems our customers face
  • Make valuable changes in our codebase in your first week, and see them live in production minutes after merging them
  • Write and review high quality, well tested code to ensure that we’re creating a stable product for our customers, and a stress-free codebase for ourselves
  • Identify areas for improvement, both in our codebase and in how we work, and share the responsibility of making our team better
  • Own the problems you’re solving - and the software you write to solve them - all the way to production and beyond, responding to customer feedback to improve those solutions
  • Use your knowledge to mentor other engineers in our team, providing support and guidance to help them grow their abilities
  • Enhance and maintain the core AI platform at Tines, ensuring high performance and scalability
  • Develop best-in-class tools and documentation to simplify AI feature integration and platform use for other teams
  • Research and introduce new models and AI capabilities to improve product offerings
  • Support and optimize the deployment of AI models in self-hosted environments
  • Collaborate with our Product and Design teams to build out entire product features, like Workbench , AI action and Automatic event transformation from early tech plans to final UI fixes
  • Write and publish insightful blog posts to share key learnings, breakthroughs, and innovative approaches with the broader community

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Ruby and TypeScript (though not required; eagerness to learn is valued)
  • Experience in all areas of the technology stack (though not required; willingness to contribute anywhere is valued)
