Summary
Join Tines, a Dublin-based workflow automation platform company, as a Software Engineer and contribute to the availability, scalability, and resilience of our customers' systems. You will work closely with colleagues to build solutions, make impactful code changes, and shape our design system. This role involves writing and reviewing high-quality code, identifying areas for improvement, and owning projects from conception to production. You will mentor other engineers and collaborate across teams. The position offers full remote work from EST states, with a preference for the Greater Boston Area, and the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Roughly 3-5 years as a professional software engineer
- Direct experience of building and delivering software using a high-level programming language
- Ability to comfortably work at a level of technical complexity involving adding features to a small command-line app (as demonstrated in a Byteboard exercise)
Responsibilities
- Work closely with colleagues to build the right solutions to the problems our customers face
- Make valuable changes in our codebase in your first week, and see them live in production minutes after merging them
- Help us shape our design system, focusing on building high-quality components that are robust, performant, and reliable, with an emphasis on thoughtful design and architecture
- Write and review high quality, well tested code to ensure that weβre creating a stable product for our customers, and a stress-free codebase for ourselves
- Identify areas for improvement, both in our codebase and in how we work, and share the responsibility of making our team better
- Own the problems youβre solving - and the software you write to solve them - all the way to production and beyond, responding to customer feedback to improve those solutions
- Use your knowledge to mentor other engineers in our team, providing support and guidance to help them grow their abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Ruby and TypeScript (though not required)
Benefits
- Fully remote work from anywhere in an EST state, with a preference for the Greater Boston Area and access to office space in downtown Boston
- Coverage of the cost of educational materials to help you learn new skills
- Reasonable working hours, holidays, and realistic workload planning to avoid burnout
