Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Software Engineer position at Venafi, focusing on cyber security Cloud applications development. The role involves participating in the development of REST APIs and backend application code, developing React UI components, fixing bugs, writing tests, and continuously expanding technical knowledge.

Requirements

• Engineering or related degree is preferred although not required
• 3-4 years of professional experience in software development
• Very good knowledge of one or more programming languages

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of cyber security Cloud applications in collaboration with Senior members of the team
• Implement REST APIs and other backend application code, primarily using Java and Golang microservices
• Develop React UI components as needed to deliver features and functionality to users
• Fix bugs on already developed systems
• Write unit, integration and functional tests as needed to ensure that requirements are implemented correctly, and specification is met
• Continuously expand personal technical knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Java or Golang
• Knowledge of Angular/React or other modern JS framework
• Knowledge in relational or NoSQL databases
• Understanding of encryption and/or certificate concepts and technologies
• Ability to write clean, consistent, and well documented code following best practices of the industry
