Software Engineer II

Summary

Join Platform Science as a Fullstack Software Engineer II and contribute to the development of diverse desktop applications. You will leverage Java, Kotlin, Angular, and React to build scalable and sustainable solutions. Responsibilities include the full software development lifecycle, from new product releases to performance improvements. You will collaborate with QA and Operations teams for testing and deployment. The ideal candidate possesses 3-5 years of experience in software development, a strong foundation in software development principles, and experience working with agile teams. This remote position is based in Brazil.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience working with software development
• Develop and maintain robust and scalable full-stack applications utilizing Java and Kotlin for backend development and Angular and React for frontend development
• Design, implement, and test efficient and well-documented code across the entire application stack, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
• Experience working with agile teams to define, design, and ship new features, participating in code reviews and contributing to architectural decisions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in software development principles

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the engineering team to build solutions for telematics products and platforms
• Develop using Java, Kotlin, Angular, and React
• Be responsible for the full life cycle software development activities including new product releases, upgrades, functional enhancements, defect resolution, and performance improvements
• Partner with QA and Operations to test and deploy changes to a product set up for continuous deployment
• Build scalable and sustainable solutions, utilizing engineering best practices in an agile, team-oriented and collaborative environment
