Software Engineer II

Summary

Join Xometry, a company connecting those with big ideas to manufacturers, as a Software Engineer. You will guide software implementation across teams, building fast, reliable, and delightful solutions for buyers on our manufacturing marketplace. This role involves hands-on technical execution, collaboration with engineers and product managers, and ensuring superior software delivery. You will be involved in code reviews and working within a full-stack environment. The position requires at least 3 years of software development experience in a fast-paced environment and strong technical expertise in backend development using Python, Typescript, and SQL/NoSQL databases. Remote work is possible.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in software development, in a fast-paced, product-driven environment
• Strong technical expertise in a full-stack environment, with an emphasis on backend development. You should be familiar with: Python, Typescript, SQL and noSQL databases
• You will be a part of full-stack teams and you are expected to become proficient in Python, and React/Typescript design and development
• Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, and designers
• Strong execution and communication skills

• Hands-On Technical Execution : Your primary role is implementing projects through well defined and scoped tickets
• Technical Excellence: Demonstrable understanding of software engineering fundamentals and best practices
• Collaboration: Close collaboration with other engineers and product managers to become a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team
• Code Review: You will do code review and collaborate with others in the organization to perform good code reviews
• Operational Excellence : Guarantee the delivery of superior software that not only meets but exceeds customer expectations, while aligning with the strategic business timelines
