Summary
Join Abnormal Security's Email Productivity (EPR) team as a Software Engineer. The EPR team builds and manages a key revenue-driving product. You'll work on all aspects of the product, from infrastructure to customer-facing components. This role offers hands-on experience with high-volume systems and significant impact. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic about learning. You will collaborate with a team to develop and maintain features, ensuring reliability through testing and support. You'll also need strong communication skills and a proven track record of individual and team contributions.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems or other related engineering field
- 1+ years of experience as a backend engineer, developing web applications
- At least one Software Engineering internship experience in the industry
- Experience working individually as well as in groups on a regular basis, proficient in asynchronous and written communication
- Experience participating in hackathons, innovation challenges or building out personal projects
Responsibilities
- Work with other software engineers in the team to develop robust and scalable features
- Assume ownership of the reliability of the features you develop, including comprehensive unit tests and rigorous integration testing
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide technical support to effectively troubleshoot and resolve customer issues
- Communicate effectively with the team in an async manner. Display a strong sense of initiative and ownership in providing updates, discussing challenges and proposing solutions without prompting
- Demonstrate a high degree of enthusiasm and strong desire to learn, with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with our stack: Python, Go, AWS, K8s, Django, Spark, Prometheus
- Experience leading a small team to build a feature or component from scratch
