Summary

Join the Distributed Systems Team at Sumo Logic as a Senior Software Engineer to build and improve Kafka messaging infrastructure, management tools, and observability. Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure effective use of tools, libraries, and frameworks developed by this team.

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in Computer Sciences or related discipline
• 2 to 4 years of industry experience with a track record of ownership and delivery
• Ability to code proficiently in Java or Scala
• Experience with data serialization frameworks such as AVRO and/or GRPC
• Experience in running large scalable distributed services following a microservice architecture
• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise wide solutions based on Java Technologies (Java, J2EE, Web Services)
• Experience with cloud native environments built on public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Demonstrated implementation of high-availability concepts
• Excellent troubleshooting skills

• Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure the effective use of tools, libraries, and frameworks developed by this team
• Facilitate cross-team efforts to keep common libraries up to date, addressing security vulnerabilities and enabling the adoption of new features
