Software Engineer III

Summary

The job is for a software engineer in the Cloud team at ExtraHop, focusing on building customer-facing features and a large, scalable platform using cutting-edge technologies. The role requires excellent engineering skills, knowledge of Go, Python, or an equivalent programming language, and experience with containers, distributed systems, and cloud services.

Requirements

• Excellent engineering chops
• 2-4 years of experience
• Solid knowledge of Go, Python, or an equivalent programming language
• Self-starter with a strong problem-solving track record and ability to grow and learn
• Excellent communicator and collaborator who can iterate quickly

Responsibilities

• Build customer-facing features that enable security and engineering teams to stop threats in their place
• Work with the team to build a large, scalable, secure platform and services using cutting-edge technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience around containers and related technologies (Kubernetes / Docker / HashiCorp - Packer, Vault, and Terraform)
• Experience with building and scaling distributed, highly available systems
• Experience with cloud services on AWS or Azure (EKS / RDS / S3 / SQS / EC2 / IAM)
