Summary

As a platform engineer intern at DataVisor, you will learn how to build a next-generation machine learning platform using unsupervised machine learning (UML) and other algorithms to detect fraudulent activity. The position is ideal for Computer Science or Engineering students in their last year, with experience in Java, Shell, Python development, and knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, ORM technologies, Cassandra, HBase, Flink, Spark, Kafka, and the Spring Framework. The internship offers valuable hands-on experience, opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals, flexible schedule, and potential for remote work.

Requirements

• BS/MS students majoring in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject, ideally in his/her last school year
• Proven working experience in Java, Shell, Python development

Responsibilities

• Design and build machine learning systems that process data sets from the world’s largest consumer services
• Use unsupervised machine learning, supervised machine learning, and deep learning to detect fraudulent behavior and catch fraudsters
• Build and optimize systems, tools, and validation strategies to support new features
• Help design/build distributed real-time systems and features

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
• Experience in Cassandra, HBase, Flink, Spark or Kafka
• Experience in the Spring Framework
• Experience with test-driven development
