Summary

Join Huntress, a fully remote global cybersecurity team, as a Software Engineer on the Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) team. Build solutions to monitor logins and access patterns at scale, automatically detecting and stopping hackers. Collaborate with senior engineers, security researchers, and designers to develop market-defining identity protection solutions. Work on cutting-edge problems in a rapidly evolving landscape, building scalable solutions to emerging threats. You will build new UI, scalable data models, and automated detectors. This role requires 4+ years of software development experience and 2+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails. Huntress offers a competitive salary, benefits, and a remote work environment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience developing complex software products
  • 2+ years of programming in Ruby on Rails
  • Experience reviewing code, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting
  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience gained through work experience

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end solutions using primarily Ruby on Rails
  • Implement efficient data pipelines to extract relevant information from massive amounts of noise
  • Collaborate with security researchers to understand hacking strategies and methods to combat them
  • Continuously improve solution quality through code reviews, manual and automated testing, and suggesting team processes to make us more efficient
  • Build internal tooling for our SOC team to hunt for and quickly mitigate any intrusions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the CyberSecurity industry
  • Experience working with external APIs (particularly REST, OData, authZ and authN flows)
  • Familiarity with identity and resource security providers like m365, Okta, Google Workspaces, or similar
  • Experience with other data storage technologies (Redis, ElasticSearch, Mongo, etc.)
