Summary

Futronics is seeking a Software Intern to join their R&D team in Pasadena, CA. The intern will develop dynamic applications, integrate APIs, collaborate with teams, conduct code reviews, support Continuous Integration, and engineer safe solutions for robotic platforms that interact with humans.

Requirements

• Experience in web application development
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React, Angular)
• Strong knowledge of containerized Linux development (Docker)
• Understanding of automated testing, CI, build, and deployment to production-ready systems
• Understanding of data structures and object-oriented design
• Analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• Experience working with UX/UI designers to deliver intuitive user interfaces
• Experience building customer facing products and services
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Currently pursuing 4th year for a bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a master's degree

Responsibilities

• Develop dynamic applications for desktop web and touchscreen devices
• Integrate with APIs to leverage data from the Cloud and on-device systems
• Collaborate with agile, cross-functional teams to display information and control robot actions
• Conduct code reviews and document best practices
• Support Continuous Integration with an emphasis on software quality best practices
• Engineer solutions that are safe for robotic platforms that interact with humans
