Summary
Join Ontra's 2025 summer internship program as a Software Engineering Intern in San Francisco or Santa Barbara, California. This role involves collaborating with a team to design and implement full-stack web application features using Ruby on Rails and React. Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university and have completed at least the equivalent of 3 years of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science OR actively pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Science
- Have familiarity with at least one object-oriented programming language
- Be able to identify issues and develop efficient solutions throughout the software development process
- Have expected graduation dates: Undergraduate programs: May 2025 through June 2026. Graduate programs: Up to June 2027
- Be available to work full-time throughout the duration of the internship program
- Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with application engineers to design and implement full stack web app features using Ruby on Rails and React
- Engage with cross-functional partners in an agile environment to ensure timely and efficient progress on projects
- Exchange insightful feedback through code reviews, enhancing the quality and robustness of the application
- Work closely within a small team to align goals and deliverables, fostering efficient project execution
- Continuously improve programming skills by staying updated with new technologies and best practices in the industry
