Summary

The job is for an Engineer at LINQ, a high-growth software company specializing in K12 education administration. The role involves working as part of a cross-functional team to deliver business-critical applications and contributing to technical projects, escalations, and architectural decisions.

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of experience in Software Application Development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent working experience
• Strong understanding of relational database systems
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
• 5+ years designing and implementing products using SaaS, IaC, event driven, and/or micro-services
• Experience with the following technologies: Java, Angular, AWS, NoSQL (DynamoDB preferred)
• Experience leading or managing a team of empowered engineers
• Strong belief in and use of best practices
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Collaborate with teams to clarify design and implementation while meeting project needs
• Collaborate with other developers and architects (when appropriate) to determine optimal solution architecture, efficiency, maintainability and scalability
• Complete projects/tasks in a timely fashion while meeting sprint goals and commitments
• Experience with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular
• Experience managing and mentoring other engineers

Responsibilities

Work closely with the product owners and quality assurance to create software that fulfills business needs
