Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven experience leading and managing software engineering teams with a track record of shipping reliable, scalable applications in a SaaS environment
  • Strong technical background in event based distributed systems, cloud platforms, APIs, and SQL/NoSQL datastores
  • Ability to balance technical depth with strong execution, prioritizing effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineers at various career stages
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • A strong customer-centric mindset and a passion for building products that solve real-world problems

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 4-8 software engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive
  • Drive the end-to-end delivery of software products and features, from planning and design to development, testing, and deployment, ensuring high quality and velocity
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, and other cross-functional stakeholders to define roadmaps, translate business goals into technical strategies, and prioritize initiatives
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight, participating in architectural discussions, and ensuring adherence to engineering best practices
  • Champion engineering excellence, advocating for robust testing, system performance, maintainability, and operational ownership of services
  • Identify and implement improvements in system architecture, development practices, and team workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support the career development of your team members, providing regular feedback, coaching, and opportunities for growth
  • Actively participate in the hiring and onboarding of new engineering talent
  • Manage production issues and provide technical leadership for incident resolution as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Experience applying AI to enhance software development processes and help deliver value faster for customers. This includes familiarity with tools for AI-powered code assistance (like intelligent code generation and error detection), automated testing, and smart documentation, with a keen interest in leveraging AI to streamline workflows
