Backend Engineering Team Lead

Summary

Join M-KOPA's Repayments product group as a Backend-focused Engineering Team Lead. Lead and mentor a team focused on high-quality output using infrastructure as code, observability, monitoring, and automated testing. You will be empowered to drive the architecture of new microservices, predominantly using C# on the .NET stack and Azure Kubernetes. This fully remote role requires expertise in C#.NET, event-driven systems, microservices, testing, and deployment within a DevOps culture. Requirements

• Be comfortable working as part of a team that owns the entire software stack, including supporting infrastructure, throughout the entire software lifecycle
• Value the constraints that continuous delivery places upon engineering processes and embrace testing and observability as first-order concerns in software development
• Have a good grasp of and experience with C#.NET, Event Driven Systems, microservices, testing, and Deployment

Responsibilities

• Lead a team as a servant leader, coach, and contributor
• Work within a team emphasizing high-quality output using infrastructure as code, observability, monitoring, and automated testing in all environments, including production
• Drive the architecture of a new fleet of microservices
• Work on improving a legacy codebase while working on new projects
