Software Localization Project Manager

Summary

Join Avetta as a Localization Project Manager and play a key role in expanding our SaaS platform globally. You will manage multiple software localization projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches in new markets. This hybrid role blends planning, project management, and operations, requiring strong organizational skills and cross-cultural sensitivity. You will oversee the end-to-end localization workflow, utilizing our TMS tool and other technologies, while proactively identifying and resolving technical issues. Success in this position demands experience in software localization, internationalization, and machine translation, along with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Requirements

• 5+ years of managing software localization projects for a SaaS organization
• Effective communication, problem-solving and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail
• Experience localizing training and marketing content such as video, eLearning, knowledge center articles, campaigns and marketing websites
• Great understanding of localization and internationalization issues
• Experience using CAT tools to manage localization pipeline & workflows
• TMS (Phrase, XTM), JIRA, Confluence, Wrike, Salesforce, Marketo experience
• Proficiency in localization requirements of different file types: indd, psd, ai, cvs, pptx, JSON, etc
• Experience implementing and training Machine Translation and LLM solutions
• Deep knowledge of linguistic asset optimization
• Fluency in English in addition to one of the following languages: French, Japanese, German, Dutch, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic or Urdu are preferred

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Product, Product Operations, Engineering, Risk Advisory and Training) to ensure successful product localization
• Manage multiple projects by establishing appropriate priorities
• Oversee end-to-end product localization workflow using our TMS tool and other technologies
• Triage projects to vendors including ETA of each workflow step, project briefing, budget, reference materials and properly prepared files
• Contribute to developing and manage the internationalization roadmap, schedules, and budget
• Guide product teams to ensure internationalization best practices are followed to minimize downstream issues
• Support product teams to ensure that all releases are executed in an efficient and timely manner
• Coordinate bug resolution ensuring smooth international client onboarding and overall excellent user experience
• Proactively identify and prioritize technical process issues that affect localized product quality and functionality
• Track and report on cost and turnaround times of your projects monthly
• Lead product planning and training sessions with internal stakeholders ensuring project requirements are met
• Partner with cross-functional teams to exchange best practices and embed localization at early stages minimizing issues at target
• Proactively develop, document and implement efficient and scalable localization processes

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP Certification preferred
• PowerBI knowledge a plus
