Requirements

  • 5+ years of QA experience on web and mobile applications
  • Proven experience as a Manual QA Tester with a strong willingness to transition to automation testing
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) & Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices, preferably in an Agile development environment
  • Proficiency in writing clear and concise test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools

Responsibilities

  • Solving real business needs by turning product ideas into engineering solutions
  • Reviewing and analyzing software and system specifications
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly test software applications
  • Identify, document, and report software defects and track their resolution using bug tracking tools
  • Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and provide input on potential issues and risks
  • Perform various types of testing including regression, performance and end-to-end testing
  • Create and maintain test data and test environments to simulate real-world scenarios
  • Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution
  • Working in cross-functional teams to ensure quality during a software development project
  • Driving efficiency and innovation in the testing procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing methodologies and technologies
  • Provide accurate and timely test status reports, defect reports, and test summaries to project stakeholders
  • Provide emergency support of relevant products on production hours as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic experience with UI based automated testing tools (e.g.,, Rainforest)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Passion for building great user experiences and achieving real-world impact
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Experience in production support and monitoring tools
