Software Quality Engineering Manager

Summary

DoiT International is seeking a Software Quality Engineering Manager to manage a team of SDETs responsible for delivering E2E & API tests using Cypress. The manager will spend 70% of their time actively coding and helping develop the test suite, and will also be responsible for ensuring correct tooling and test architecture are in place. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a QA role, is confident in the use of Cypress, and has experience with various types of testing and programming languages.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a QA role
• Demonstrating excellent knowledge of QA methodologies and Software development processes (Agile Scrum)
• Proven experience managing, coaching or mentoring engineers
• Fluent in object-oriented programming with minimum 3 years of use of programming languages for development or QA purposes
• Confident in the use of Cypress for User Interface and/or API testing (we use TypeScript, you can easily transition from JavaScript)

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of SDETs responsible for delivering E2E & API tests using Cypress
• Spend 70% of their time actively coding and helping to develop the test suite
• Ensure that we have the correct tooling and test architecture in place to maintain a high level of quality in our product suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, and GoLang testing frameworks
• Experience with automated load/stress and performance testing and tools
• Experience with SQL
• Experience testing Cloud or SaaS-based applications, and experience with GCP and AWS highly preferred
