Software Engineering Manager

Summary

Join LawnStarter, a marketplace that makes lawn care easy for homeowners while helping small businesses succeed. As the Manager of Software Engineering, you'll report to the VP of Software Engineering and be responsible for managing cross-functional delivery teams. You'll collaborate with Product Management, Product Design, and engineering specialties to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience working on both server- and client-side web software
• Familiarity with cloud development, Test Driven Development (TDD), RESTful APIs, React, XSS attacks, and MVC web frameworks
• Understanding of fundamental computer science concepts, including pointers, Big O notation, composition vs inheritance, arrays, linked lists, and sets
• Firm grasp of SQL and databases, including CRUD operations, indexes, left joins, and inner joins

Responsibilities

• Manage cross-functional delivery teams
• Collaborate with Product Management, Product Design, and engineering specialties
• Define engineering processes, track, and coordinate development initiatives
• Recruit, motivate, retain, and lead a diverse team of engineers
• Deliver high-quality software sustainably with a predictable cadence
