Software Tester

Summary

Join DVT's dynamic team as a proactive and detail-oriented Software Tester, ensuring the quality and functionality of software products through rigorous testing and collaboration. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, performing thorough requirement analysis, developing and maintaining test cases, and executing manual and automated tests. You will log and track defects, manage backlog items, and conduct various testing types, including integration, exploratory, functional, and regression testing. Documenting testing activities and using various tools are also key responsibilities. The ideal candidate will actively participate in Agile ceremonies and present sprint changes to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate remotely with Business and Product Owners to understand requirements
• Perform thorough Requirement Analysis to inform test planning
• Develop and maintain Test Cases using tools such as Confluence , Gherkin , and Cucumber Studio
• Execute manual and automated Test Cases across various platforms
• Log, track, and report defects using JIRA
• Track time and progress using JIRA and Cadence
• Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to manage and test backlog items
• Conduct Integration , Exploratory , Functional , and Regression Testing on new developments
• Perform Website Testing and testing on Utilita’s in-house Windows-based system
• Document testing activities using Pandadocs and Mailtrap
• Conduct API Testing using Postman and Swagger
• Use SQL to validate and gather test data
• Actively participate in daily stand-ups , sprint planning , and retrospectives
• Present sprint changes to stakeholders during bi-weekly remote demos
• Engage in monthly knowledge-sharing sessions with fellow testers
• Provide weekly QA feedback to the Test Lead
