Summary

Join Datacom's Presales and Architecture team in Canberra as a Solution Architect. You will drive the adoption of Datacom's IT solutions, focusing on Managed Services and IT outsourcing. Responsibilities include leading technical pre-sales activities, creating innovative solutions, and working with sales, vendors, and clients. You will lead workshops, create technical documentation, and mentor the team. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in complex enterprise environments, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of Managed Services and ITIL. Requirements

  • Have a broad technical background in the Infrastructure and Managed Services spectrum
  • Have previous experience in developing and delivering enterprise solutions to Government clients in a managed services contractual environment
  • Be proficient in commercial and contract management including pricing strategies
  • Have extensive experience in preparing bid reports, RFP, RFI and other tendering documents
  • Have thorough knowledge and understanding of the applicability of Architectural frameworks, with relevant certifications
  • Have a deep understanding of the ITIL framework
  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Be able to achieve Australian Government Baseline clearance

Responsibilities

  • Drive adoption of the wide range of solutions provided by Datacom
  • Create and promote innovative solutions across the range of our IT Service offerings, with a large focused on Managed Services and IT outsourcing solutions
  • Lead the technical pre-sales scoping and costing of solution engagements, working directly with our sales specialists, vendors, and clients to produce compelling, fit for purpose concepts and designs using a wide range of technology
  • Become fully immersed in the client’s technical environment so you can make the best recommendations
  • Lead workshops and create technical documentation to ensure all parties are clear on the technology roadmap
  • Mentor and upskill the team, and take charge of projects

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive productive relationships
  • Have a consultative approach the ability to influence senior management and project leaders
