Esri Solution Engineer Internship

Join Esri Summer Internship Program

Support customers highlighting the value of GIS solving a myriad of technical challenges leveraging Esri and other technologies.  Gain a large technical network working alongside other solution engineers and sales professionals.

What You’ll Do

We have opportunities on our solution engineering teams and projects may vary based on the team you join. Past examples include:

  • Performing innovative analysis like GeoAI to detect natural disaster impacts, developing urban areas, and shifts in natural and agricultural habitats.

  • Writing external communication products like blogs, learn lessons, and social media posts supporting sales initiatives, new tech trends, and technical use-cases.

  • Creating workflows, maps, and applications inspiring customers such as FEMA, DOJ, FBI, and NGA to leverage ArcGIS technology.

Requirements

  • We seek students who are majoring in GIS, geography, data science, or business or are obtaining an MBA and are currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program at a university in the United States; undergrads must be in junior or senior standing

  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this posting. Applicantsmust be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

  • Able to complete a 12-week internship beginning in May or June 2025

  • Knowledge of Esri products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise), GIS application creation and development, GIS databases, spatial analysis, and/or cartography

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically presentation skills

  • Some internships also require an interest in a particular domain (for example, natural resources, government, health, or utilities)

  • Desirable students that will be graduating with a graduate or undergrad level degree by 2025.

Program Timeline

  • Applications Accepted: September 1–December 31, 2024 at 5:00 pm PST

  • Interviews: Students selected for phone interviews will be notified by email on a rolling basis October 2023–January 31, 2025

  • Internship: 12 weeks beginning in late May or June

Compensation Statement: “The Company” Section:

The pay range for this internship takes into account education level and previous relevant work experience to include specialized skill sets. Interns who meet minimum qualifications during their internship may also qualify for 401(k) and profit share.
