Summary

The job is for a remote Solution Architect in the computer and network security industry who will help lead the company's growth, provide technical assistance to the sales team, and support customers. The candidate should have at least 5 years' experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as Pre-Sales Engineer/Solutions Architect in the networking and/or security platforms field
  • Technical working knowledge of networking and/or security platforms in a troubleshooting and/or architecting role
  • Deep technical knowledge of network port and vulnerability scanning, and vulnerability management solutions as well as a familiarity with related industry, market, and competitor landscapes
  • Knowledge of and experience with common network scanning tools to include Metasploit, Nessus, Nmap, Qualys, SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc
  • Expert knowledge of multi OSI Layer related technologies and networking protocols with a focus on BGP, DNS, IGP, IPv4 and IPv6, IPSec, NAT, TCP
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the capability to present technical information and build rapport with a variety of audiences, including line technicians to C-Level Executives
  • Ability to influence cross functionally and in a matrix environment
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced geographically dispersed organizations
  • Capable of managing multiple high priority tasks to successful completion
  • Ability to manage information using SalesForce.com
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 20%

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Sales team and customers to understand their business and technical requirements
  • Provide technical assistance to the direct sales team as well as support for our customers
  • Lead pre-and-post sales technical discussions in client and partner meetings across multiple levels and disciplines
  • Formulate written and oral responses to customer inquiries/questions concerning services and highly complex system designs and provide recommendations and technical guidance
  • Provide engineering services to new and existing customers including onboarding, training, and quality assurance of SixMap services and designs
  • Draft and deliver technical documentation and capability presentations for both internal and external customers
  • Prepare and deliver a demo of the service and ease of integration in the customer’s environment
  • Coordinate and provides technical pre-sales and post-sales support with SixMap product development, marketing, engineering, and operations teams
  • Work closely within SixMap to highlight emerging customer requirements and use cases, convey the competitive landscape, and coordinate across internal SixMap teams to ensure implementations meet or exceed customer expectations, timelines, and sales goals
  • Cross-collaborate and communicate customer needs and product enhancements to Product Management and Engineering Teams
  • Understand customers current security environment and critical applications and execute proof of concept engagements as needed to convert opportunities into technical win
  • Managing trials/POCs with multiple clients
  • Completing RFPs and security questionnaires and other technical documentation as needed during the sales process
  • Maintaining relationships with technical staff in information security departments across a variety of industries
