Sr. Automation Engineer

Summary

Macrometa is seeking an experienced DevOps/Automation Engineer to build in-house automation tools, manage geo-distributed data platforms, and maintain current automation infrastructure. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, 10+ years of experience in managing large-scale, geo-distributed systems, and expertise in cloud computing, networking, and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in designing and managing large-scale, geo-distributed systems
• Experience managing and running production systems in AWS, GCP, Linode, and On-Premise

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain current automation framework for build/release automation, product infrastructure provisioning and deployment automation
• Implement automation tooling for system provisioning, product deployment, monitoring, scaling framework and IT infrastructure
• Assist SRE/SecOps/QA/Customer support teams to manage and run highly available and scalable geo-distributed data platforms
• Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Python or shell scripting, Kubernetes, Argo workflow engine and ArgoCD
