Remote Sr. Full Stack Engineer

Summary

VergeSense is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their software engineering team. The engineer will work on the core VergeSense Occupancy Intelligence Platform, which is built on React, Ruby/Rails, and TimescaleDB and Snowflake, and run in a multi-cloud environment. The role involves driving customer-facing features, collaborating with various departments to shape the overall product roadmap, and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Have 6+ years of industry experience
• Deep understanding of OOP and API design patterns particularly in the implementation of RESTful services
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/React and Ruby/Ruby on Rails
• Experience working with a relational datastore such as PostgreSQL at scale
• Strong communicator who can collaborate with diverse stakeholders across all levels
• Passion for writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Drive core customer-facing features of the VergeSense Occupancy Intelligence Platform
• Collaborate with various departments to shape the overall product roadmap
• Serve as a strategic thought partner for leaders across the organization on driving business impact through application feature delivery
• Coach and mentor the next generation of strong engineers on the team

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with time-series data preferred but not required
