Remote Sr Legal Contracts Manager

Summary

The Senior Legal Contract Manager / Commercial Counsel will draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents for Twist Bioscience Corporation's growing Commercial and Biopharma divisions. The ideal candidate should be a qualified solicitor or have relevant experience at a major law firm or in-house legal department at a biotech or pharma company.

Requirements

• Either fully qualified solicitor, or qualified with a LLB (or equivalent) together with 2-5 years of relevant experience at a major law firm or in-house legal department at a biotech or pharma company, with an emphasis on contracting and commercial experience in the life sciences
• Experience drafting, negotiating and managing a high volume of commercial and pharma agreements, and fostering strategic partnerships
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• The ability to manage outside counsel and assess when consultation with outside counsel is appropriate
• Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
• Strong customer service skills
• The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tight deadlines in a fast-paced business environment
• Excellent judgment in assessing risks and benefits
• Creative problem solver

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial, biopharma, and other legal documents
• Develop standard terms and template language for commercial and biopharma agreements
• Manage processes and workflows governing the intake, review, and approval of commercial and biopharma agreement requests
• Advise business and cross functional stakeholders on best practices and legal updates affecting contracting

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluent in French or Chinese
• Familiarity with synthetic biology and sequencing products and processes, drug development landscape, antibody therapies, and personalized medicine
