Summary

Matterport is seeking an experienced mobile engineering leader to join their team. The role involves leading a team responsible for 3D scanning applications on iOS and Android, reporting to the VP of Experiences. Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in mobile development
  • 3+ years experience leading software engineering teams in a high growth and fast-paced environment
  • BA/BS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 3+ years work experience)
  • Experience in recruiting engineering talent and building out high-performing teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams that deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in an ambiguous and high-impact area
  • Work closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to drive and execute on the next set of product innovations required to maintain and accelerate Matterport’s position as an industry leader
  • Lead a team of high caliber software engineers with strong mobile expertise - foster an inclusive team culture, empower, challenge, and coach team members to help grow their impact
  • Enable teams to be successful by removing obstacles and developing strategic relationships throughout the business
  • Help set the direction and goals for the team, in terms of project impact, product quality, and engineering efficiency
  • Understand and stay current with market trends, emerging technology, and competitors
  • Dive into coding and technical tasks as necessary and as time permits after other management duties
