Sr Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior Software Engineer at Henry Schein One, a global leader in dental management software. The role involves full-stack programming for the Revenue Cycle Management domain with C# and .Net technologies. The employee will participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, mentor junior engineers, and follow Test Driven Development (TDD) paradigm when possible. Travel is less than 10%.

Requirements

• 5 + years of experience building desktop UI and backend enterprise software utilizing our technology stack
• Skilled in unit testing
• Understanding of domain-driven design
• Experience with cross-team interdependent roadmaps
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively estimate engineering work within 6–12 month timelines

Responsibilities

• Development of enhancements and elimination of bugs in Henry Schein One software
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings
• Mentor more junior engineers
• Solve complex problems using knowledge, passion, and curiosity
• Craft code that reflects an expert understanding of object-oriented design, refactoring, clean code, clean architecture and solid engineering principles
• Work with Product and UX Designers to create clean, intuitive user interfaces
• Partner with our DevOps team to build and support CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Understanding of Behavioral Driven Development (BDD)
• Past experience converting legacy applications to a microservice architecture
• Experience with Revenue Cycle Management software
