Staff Accountant

Summary

FLASH is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Controller on financial close and reconciliations. This is a remote role based in the Dominican Republic. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, proficiency in English, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
• At least 2 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare various journal entries for assigned ledger accounts during monthly close
• Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliation
• Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals
• Oversee financial transactions and process invoices in a timely manner
• Assist in month-end activities
• Assist in financial audits
• Assess current processes for certain tasks and implement process improvements and automation (if possible)

Preferred Qualifications

• General understanding of GAAP
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas
• Knowledgeable in NetSuite or similar ERP
