Join Lithic's Analytics team as a Staff Analytics Engineer and become the bridge between our Finance team and data infrastructure. Partner with all divisions of Finance to develop a strategic analytics roadmap and build sophisticated data models illuminating financial operations and performance. You will develop and maintain financial data models, own and evolve our billing engine, streamline month-end close procedures, analyze financial data, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and establish best practices for financial data governance. This role requires proven experience in analytics engineering and financial systems, strong SQL skills, experience with DBT and Python, and a comfort with ambiguity. Requirements
- Proven experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or similar technical roles with exposure to financial systems
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to drive projects forward with minimal oversight
- Strong SQL skills with experience in modern data warehouse environments (Snowflake is preferred)
- Experience with DBT or similar data transformation frameworks
- Experience with Python and version control workflows (Git)
- Experience supporting finance teams, working with financial data models and financial concepts
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial data models that provide clear visibility into business performance metrics
- Own and evolve our billing engine, supporting monthly customer billing processes and enhancing tooling to make it more intuitive and self-serve
- Lead initiatives to streamline month-end close procedures through data automation and validation
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for margin improvements or operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement through analytics engineering
- Establish best practices for financial data governance and documentation
