Staff Engineer

Summary

Join Nagarro, a Digital Product Engineering company, as a ServiceNow Developer with 7+ years of experience. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, envisioning solutions, and implementing designs using ServiceNow. Expertise in modules like ITOM, GRC, HRSD, ITSM, and Service Portal is required, along with strong scripting skills (JavaScript, Jelly, AngularJS). You will lead UAT and production rollouts, mentor team members, and ensure high-quality deliverables. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field and ServiceNow CIS certification are necessary. Experience with SPM, CSM, ITIL processes, Agile, and DevOps is also needed.

Requirements

• Total experience 7+years
• Strong working experience in ServiceNow development and implementation
• Expertise in one or more of the following key modules: ITOM, GRC, HRSD, ITSM, Service Portal
• Proven experience with ServiceNow Integrations (REST, SOAP, MID Server, etc.)
• Strong scripting skills using JavaScript, Jelly, AngularJS, and other ServiceNow-specific languages
• Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in at least one mainline ServiceNow module (e.g., ITSM, HRSD, IRM, GRC)
• Experience with SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) and CSM (Customer Service Management) modules
• Familiarity with ITIL processes
• Exposure to Agile and DevOps practices
• Strong scripting skills in JavaScript, Glide, and use of Flow Designer
• Experience in working in an Agile or DevOps-driven environment
• Mentoring the team members to meet the client's needs and holding them accountable for high standards of delivery detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Understanding functional requirements thoroughly and analyzing the clients needs in the context of the project
• Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns, and frameworks to realize it
• Determining and implementing design methodologies and toolsets
• Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities
• Being able to lead/support UAT and production rollouts
• Creating, understanding, and validating WBS and estimated effort for given module/task, and being able to justify it
• Addressing issues promptly, responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
• Giving constructive feedback to the team members and setting clear expectations
• Helping the team in troubleshooting and resolving complex bugs
• Coming up with solutions to any issue that is raised during code/design review and being able to justify the decision taken
• Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements
