Staff Engineer - QA Automation

Summary

Join our Digital Product Engineering company as a Test Engineer and contribute to building inspiring digital products and services. You will be responsible for writing and automating tests for our Identity and Licensing web applications and REST APIs. Working independently, you will utilize tools and frameworks recommended by our SQCoE team, such as HttpClient, XUnit, and Newtonsoft. Your testing will encompass functional/UI testing of a cloud-hosted React/Typescript web application and integration tests against a REST API. The role requires familiarity with Azure Test Plans and best practices in test plan and test case creation. The development team is located in Costa Rica, requiring some overlap in working hours.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Azure Test Plans
• Excellent familiarity with best practices in writing test plans and test cases
• Json - Allure Reports - Ranorex - Azure DevOps CI/CD experience

Responsibilities

• Write test cases and automated tests for the Identity and Licensing web applications and their corresponding REST APIs
• Work in a team with no other testers, so they will need to be somewhat self-directed in test practice
• Use tools/frameworks recommended by our SQCoE team, eg: - HttpClient - XUnit - Newtonsoft
• Write tests that can run automatically without human intervention, triggered by completed Pull Requests
• Test will include functional/user-interface testing of a cloud-hosted React/Typescript web application, and integration tests against a REST API

Preferred Qualifications

• Working with DevOps engineers to troubleshoot deployment/test issues in AWS environments
• Testing Lambda functions and apps deployed on AWS (multi-region/auto-scaling)
