Staff Software Developer, Remote - Canada

Summary

We're looking for an experienced software professional to join our Grow My Clinic team as a Staff Developer. This is a remote position allowing you to work across Canada. The role involves setting the technical vision for the Grow My Clinic product, mentoring other developers, and integrating with various systems within the Jane ecosystem.

Requirements

• Experience in both early-stage product development and in larger, more structured company environments
• Has hands-on experience with the complete software development lifecycle, particularly in creating new products from the ground up
• Skilled in quickly understanding and navigating technical standards, stakeholders, and architectures within an organization
• Can build and iterate early versions of the product swiftly, gaining market insights and making strategic decisions to support scaling efforts without compromising user experience or development speed
• Significant full-stack development experience, including infrastructure, backend, and frontend development. Proficiency with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and AWS
• Experience mentoring other developers, fostering growth in skills and confidence
• Experience in at least two of the following areas: 1) API design and systems integration, 2) Building modern, responsive web application interfaces, 3) Ensuring application and system security, 4) DevOps practices, including CI/CD, and building reliable, performant, and observable systems
• Someone who is growth-oriented and flexible, eager to get involved in the initial stages of product development and excited about the opportunity to take on a more strategic role as the product evolves
