Staff Software Engineer

Summary

Join Liftoff's Infrastructure Team as a Backend Infrastructure Engineer and take end-to-end ownership of projects, collaborating with a world-class team. You will ship code multiple times daily, directly impacting millions of users and revenue. This role fosters an "engineering excellence" culture, utilizing state-of-the-art tools and cutting-edge technologies like Clojure and Go. You'll become an authority in these technologies while contributing to a nimble and experienced team. The position offers full-time remote work options in several US states and Canada, with occasional in-person team gatherings. Requirements

• Strong coding ability (experience in Go and Clojure is a plus, but not necessary)
• 8+ years software engineering experience
• B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
• Solid core CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, architecting systems)
• Experience with any major cloud technologies AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience building high scale distributed systems and backend architectures
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and ability to get things done
• Genuine interest and/or experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex distributed systems problems
• Ability to lead and collaborate across team and role boundaries to effect large scale change in culture and systems
